What Is the CNS Credential?
The Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) is an advanced clinical nutrition credential requiring a master’s or doctoral degree in nutrition or a related field, extensive supervised practice hours, and successful completion of a national board examination.
The CNS credential is recognized as a pathway to licensure for qualified nutrition professionals in Florida and several other states. It emphasizes evidence-based nutrition science, personalized care, and advanced clinical nutrition training.
What Is a CNS Candidate?
As a CNS Candidate, I am currently completing supervised practice through Clinician’s Incubator under qualified professional supervision as part of the certification pathway. This process allows me to continue deepening my clinical knowledge while providing personalized nutrition support grounded in evidence-based and functional nutrition principles.
What Does This Mean for Clients?
As part of my CNS supervised practice, my recommendations and nutrition protocols are reviewed and signed off by an experienced nutrition professional licensed in the appropriate state. This allows me to continue completing the advanced supervised hours required for CNS certification while ensuring clients receive a high standard of professional care and guidance grounded in evidence-based nutrition principles.
Additional details regarding supervised practice, scope of services, and state eligibility will be discussed during the introductory call.
At this time, I am unable to work with clients located in Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, West Virginia, Wyoming, and Wisconsin.

MY PHILOSOPHY
I believe nutrition and lifestyle habits can play a powerful role in supporting overall wellness and long-term health. My approach combines evidence-based nutrition principles with a personalized and realistic perspective tailored to each individual’s unique needs, goals, and lifestyle.
Together, we will explore factors such as nutrition, sleep, stress management, movement, daily habits, and overall lifestyle to better understand your concerns and create supportive strategies adapted to your personal situation.
My job will be to give you these tools so you can support your body in doing what it knows to do best: THRIVE!
